Post Hotel Mittenwald in Mittenwald

A big disappointment and well below expectations for an alleged 4-star hotel. Assigned a terrible room, it took an argument to get a new one. The restaurant service is rude. The food is low quality. The bread, rolls, cold cuts and cheese resemble items purchased at a discounter. After one day we opted to eat at other restaurants despite having breakfast and dinner included in our reservation. Get ready for the dueling church bells day and night. Two choices: 1) Windows open at night for cool temperatures plus the noise or 2) Windows closed and roast to death in silence. Climate control is much needed! Either way the horrendously uncomfortable bed is a chiropractor’s dream come true. It would’ve been nice to be asked at checkout how the stay was or what could be improved. But no, just indifference. I couldn’t wait to leave! P.S. The cleaning staff are the only nice people I encountered. They do a good job.

We have been guest at this hotel for 7 times and even this year despite COVID-19, we are planning to return to this wonderful location. The staff is kind, professional and always there to resolve your needs. The food is 5 star quality and the continental breakfast is more a feast then a breakfast buffet. On two visits we brought my mother in law who is in a wheel chair and we absolutely were pleased with the service and accessibility. This is a must place to stay in Bavaria considering that you are directly located in the Main Street.

Beautiful hotel in the most stunning surroundings, we loved it here and the ancient buildings were a fabulous sight to see. Friendly hotel, beautiful inside and out, great breakfast too..
